Examining Snowflakes

Examining Snowflakes

Materials Needed:

Black paper
Magnifying glasses

What to Do:

On a snowy day, take children outside.
Give each child a piece of black paper. Make sure paper is cold.
Ask the children to try to catch the snowflakes on their paper.
Explain to the children that they need to examine their snowflakes quickly before they melt.
If they choose, they can use magnifying glasses to see the snowflakes better.
